Arrington Dixon - Founder and CEO
Arrington Dixon is the Founder and CEO of ADA Inc.. Since founding ADA Inc. in 1985, Arrington has been instrumental in determining the direction, philosophy, and strategic development of the company. Under Arrington's leadership, ADA Inc. has become a firm committed to the needs of the under represented Anacostia, SE Washington, DC community. ADA Inc. is one of the leading community based professional IT consulting services companies, innovating solutions that sets it apart from all the others.
Arrington's career in the technology industry spans the gamut of executive, sales, business development, and technical positions. Prior to founding ADA Inc. in 1985, Arrington spent several years applying effective management skills to the design and implementation of creative solutions to technical and organizational problems in complex business and government environments.
Arrington is a Certified fiber optics technician, and a member of the Electronics Industries Association and served over three years on the Fiber Optics Interconnection Device Committee, which investigates characteristics for a precision test fiber/connector and develops documentation for terminus multiple positions connectors. Arrington was a Systems Engineer for RCA, tenured Professor of Computer Science, Vice-President in both Planning Research Corporation’s (PRC) Computer Systems and Engineering Groups, Telecommunications Guest Scholar at the Brookings Institute, and former Chairman and Member of the Council of the District of Columbia,. He holds a J.D. in Computers and the Law from The George Washington University, National Law Center. Arrington is a Washington, D.C. native and has lived in New Jersey and Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Hilary Caine – Chief Operating Officer
Hilary Caine is the Chief Operating Officer of ADA Inc.. Hilary has been an associate of the firm since 1993 mainly as a consultant in the technical training, documentation and customer support capacities. Since January 2003 Hilary joined the firm as the Vice President of Business Development and later the Chief Operating Officer. Hilary has contributed to the direction, strategy, management, customer relationships, and business development of the company. As COO, Hilary is responsible for the day-to-day management of the business as a whole. She is particularly instrumental in the direction of professional services practice development, working directly with customers to innovate service applications. Hilary makes it a point to be highly involved with developing and maintaining customer relations, listening carefully to client requirements, and then providing the leadership and direction to keep ADA Inc.’s service offerings at the forefront of the ever-changing Telecommunication and IT world.
Hilary holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Systems Engineer. Hilary worked as a Systems Analyst for Optimus Corporation where she was involved in the design and implementation of state-of-art wireless inspection tool for the District of Columbia Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA). Hilary managed the technical team that supported the Office of Information Management Systems and DCRA. Prior to her responsibilities at DCRA, Hilary management a Federal Agency’s international Help Desk and was the Systems Engineer responsible for the design and configuration of the ACD and Help Desk systems. Hilary has lived in Jamaica, the London, Maryland, Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, New York and Washington, DC.
Philip Pannell – Director of Community Affairs
Philip Pannell has over 30 years as a community activist in the District of Columbia in general and east of the Anacostia River in particular. He has received nearly 100 awards for his activities. As part of his responsibilities, he serves as the Executive Director of the non-profit Anacostia Coordinating Council (ACC), which is chaired by Arrington Dixon and headquartered at the ADA Inc. office. The ACC, which was established in 1983, is a volunteer consortium of individuals and organizations involved with the revitalization of Anacostia and its adjacent neighborhoods by networking, information gathering and sharing, community organizing and advocacy. Pannell is considered one of the leading community organizers in the city and has been the subject of several feature articles in the media and is constantly called upon to consult for various community organizations and projects. Professionally he has served as a Special Assistant to DC Mayor Anthony Williams, as the Executive Assistant to the President of the DC Board of Education and as the Program Developer for the Howard University Center for Sickle Cell Disease. He served for 9 years as a DC Public Library Trustee and served as a DC Human Rights Commissioner and as a DC Commissioner for Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs. He is a graduate of Fordham University and has lived in Newport News, Virginia and New York City.
Leonid Guzman - Director of Technical Services
Leonid is responsible for developing ADA Inc.'s Managed Services program and for designing standard Professional Services offerings. With his breadth and depth of technical expertise, Leonid manages a number of teams that form the technical backbone of ADA Inc. - creating technical standards and methodologies, managing the successful execution of all ADA Inc.’s projects, and providing the necessary training and backup technical support for all ADA Inc.’s consultants assignment.
Leonid has held a number of positions within ADA Inc. in the IT industry for more than 13 years. Most recently, he organized and managed the Annual Survey of Refugees under HHS-ORR in multilingual environment, and was responsible for the delivery of the final product – The Annual Report to Congress. He also has experience as an independent consultant, specializing in the design of highly sensitive ultrasonic devices for industrial non-destructive diagnostics.
Leonid has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electroacoustics and Ultrasound Equipment from the Kiev Polytechnic University. He has lived in the Ukraine and Maryland.
Inna Alesina – Director of Industrial Design Services
Inna Alesina has over 15 years of innovative product and technology development experience. Capabilities include: ideation, 2D/3D presentation, sketching, prototyping and drafting. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. Inna has independently designed furniture systems, retail experiences, interior architecture, consumer products and packaging for clients worldwide. Alesina's interest in universal design and environmental issues led her to design products that have won numerous awards and wide recognition by the press. Most recently published in the compendium “Dish”- International Design for the Home, and featured in many design events including Macef Design Award, Milan, Italy, January 2005 “Kitchen is the hart of home” Cologne, Germany, January 2005 “New and Notable”, ID Magazine, “Transformation”, New Your Times, “ Products from Abroad”, Abitare, Metropolis Magazine.
Her client's included 180s innovative performance wear, Waldies shoes, Pentech International, Deloitte & Touche, Fox Photo, Habitex Corp., Kodak/Qualex, Mott’s USA and more. Inna received awards from “Product for Mature Markets Design Competition”, ASA, Design Resource Award Competition. She is a faculty member at Towson University's ID department and MICA Environmental design. Inna attended the State Art College and later the Institute of Industrial Art, both in Khrakov, Ukraine. She received her B.F.A. from the Parsons School of Design in New York, New York. Inna has lived in Ukraine, New York and Maryland. |
